What

One content rail: the max-w-image container moves into base.html (overridable page_container block). Blog/broadcasts (was uncapped w-fit), contact (was max-w-read), showcase, portfolio and 404 all inherit the masthead rail now; index, blog_post and egg-fetcher opt out via page_container.
Further reading: heading + rule span exactly the preview-list width (shared w-fit wrapper), homepage section-header style.
Per-post cover field: BlogPostMetadata gains a Cover enum — cover: (explicit, may differ from thumbnail), cover: false (no article cover), omitted = thumbnail fallback. Unit tests included. Applied cover: false to Letter for Daniel, Lovely London Trip and Rusty jam Weekly #25 (their bodies already embed the images).
Dev workflow fix while testing: none needed in repo — tailwind watcher quirk (stdin) was session-local.

Container moves into base.html (overridable page_container block) so
every standard page inherits the same max-w-image rail as the masthead
nav — blog/broadcasts (previously uncapped w-fit), contact (was
max-w-read), showcase, portfolio, 404. Custom layouts (index, blog_post,
egg_fetcher) opt out by overriding page_container.
